Congratulations to the seven members of our inaugural ABSN program cohort in Charlotte for achieving a 100% first-time pass rate on the NCLEX-RN® exam! It’s an exciting time for these grads who just earned their BSN degrees last month and can now legally practice the profession as a registered nurse.
It’s also worth mentioning that all seven of these ABSN program graduates have already received job offers from various healthcare organizations, including Atrium Health, one of our clinical partners and the largest healthcare employer in Charlotte.
“Our first Charlotte cohort has worked long and hard to reach this exciting milestone. I am proud of these students and how they embody the true spirit of nursing,” said Mary Griffin, ABSN program director at Northeastern University-Charlotte. “These ABSN students will bring much needed nursing knowledge and care to our community, supporting and advancing the science and art of nursing.”
Administered by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN), the NCLEX is a nationwide exam that helps to ensure that every nursing school graduate has the knowledge and skills to deliver safe, effective patient care at the entry level. As of March 2018, the year-to-date national average for first-time testing on the NCLEX among bachelor’s degree nursing programs is 91.73%.
